            Benzodiazepine Counselling

Rosacle Consultancy Limited we offer counselling to individuals that may have a problem with benzodiazepines.

Benzodiazepines come in the form of tablets, capsules, injections or suppositories. Tablet can be taken orally or crushed and injected. Sometimes users will melt down the gel capsules for injecting purposes.

Benzodiazepines are depressants and it is very risky to combine them with other depressants such as alcohol as accidental overdose and death may occur.

Injecting crushed tablets is dangerous as the chalk in tablets damages the veins and increases the risk of infection and abscesses.

Injecting melted gel capsules is also dangerous as the gel can solidify inside the blood vessels blocking them and causing fatal complications. Some tranquilizers cause short-term memory loss.

There can be unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. Sudden withdrawal can cause fits.

Physical dependence can occur after a few weeks of use the symptoms include;

  • Weakness

  • Anxiety

  • Tremors

  • Dizziness

  • Insomnia

  • Impaired concentration

  • Pounding headaches

  • Confusion

In severe cases there can be hallucinations, psychosis and fits.

Block sessions for benzodiazepine counselling can be booked in sessions of 6-12 weeks or flexible sessions depending on the individual’s needs.

Delivered by two individuals a Psychiatrist and a qualified counsellor in substance misuse and mental health who is an Accredited Member of the Accredited Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists and Hypnotherapists professional body (ACCPH).
