     Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention Counselling

Rosacle Consultancy Limited offers Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention Counselling. Mindfulness based relapse prevention is particularly useful for individuals who have undergone drug or alcohol counselling and want to maintain abstinence and not relapse.

Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention (MBPR) (Bowen, Chawla and Marlatt, 2010) is a  treatment approach developed at the Addictive Behaviours Research Centre at the University of Washington, for individuals in recovery from addictive behaviours.

The primary goals of Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP) are:

1. Develop awareness of personal triggers and habitual reactions, and learn ways to create a pause in this seemingly automatic process.

2 Learning to recognize challenging emotional and physical experiences and responding to them in skilful ways.

3. Foster a non-judgmental, compassionate approach toward ourselves and our experiences.

4. Build a lifestyle that supports both mindfulness practice and recovery.

Block sessions for mindfulness based relapse prevention counselling can be booked in sessions of 6-12 weeks or individual sessions depending on the individual’s needs.

Delivered by two individuals a Psychiatrist and a qualified counsellor in substance misuse and mental health who is an Accredited Member of the Accredited Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists and Hypnotherapists professional body (ACCPH).
