New Psychoactive Substances Counselling

 

Rosacle Consultancy Limited is committed to working with individuals who may have an addiction to New Psychoactive Substances by offering tailor made counselling.

 

New psychoactive substances were previous called “legal Highs”. New psychoactive substances mimic the effects of illegal substances (cocaine, ecstasy and cannabis). New psychoactive substances have been around since 2008/2009.

 

New Psychoactive Substances fall into four main categories;

​

• Synthetic Cannabinoids e.g. spice or monkey dust etc.

• Stimulant type drugs e.g mephedrone

• Downer/Tranqulizer type drugs (depressants) e.g. benzodiazepines and opioid drugs

• Hallucinogenic drugs e.g. methoxetamine

 

New Psychoactive Substances users include clubbers and festival attendees, men who have sex with men, vulnerable people, problematic drug users (in particular people who inject drugs). Strength can vary from substance to substance.

 

Block sessions for New psycho active substances counselling can be booked in sessions of 6-12 weeks or flexible sessions depending on the individual’s needs. 

 

Delivered by two individuals a Psychiatrist and a qualified counsellor in substance misuse and mental health who is an Accredited Member of the Accredited Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists and Hypnotherapists professional body (ACCPH).
